Key Accountabilities (Duties):
Managing the system testing team to validate the functionality of electronics, sensors and control systems.
Responsible for overseeing the calibration and sign-off process for electronic sensor and component production.
Overseeing the configuration of logging and electrical systems, while also providing training to others and ensuring the development of supporting documentation.
Conducting investigations into reliability where necessary, implementing or feeding back changes for overall design enhancements.
Ensuring that electronic systems meet the specified performance standards, assessing and enhancing data quality initiatives.
Ensuring the implementation and promotion of health and safety initiatives within the test room environment.
Evaluating and enhancing electronics testing capabilities to improve testing efficiency and accuracy. Assisting offering counsel to other business areas undergoing capability upgrades from an electronics standpoint.
Coordinating the gathering of test requirements and diligently ensuring the availability and adequacy of all requisite test equipment and procedures.
Overseeing the organization and maintenance of test results and datasets to meet the company's specified standards.
Establishing and enforcing processes within the system test group to ensure compliance and consistency.
Mentoring the systems test group personnel to ensure professional development and advancement of its members. Provide support for individuals participating in work experience programs.
Engage in the review process of electrical installations to ensure compliance with the technical regulations and providing guidance as needed.
Collating and submitting all homologation documents as required.
C, C# or MATLAB programming experience advantageous but not essential.
Providing comprehensive operational electronics support to other departments within the company, including but not limited to: dyno’s, T+D, Simulator, customers, test and race teams.
Candidate profile:
Electronics engineering degree (2.1 or better).
10yrs+ experience in delivering system testing across a range of disciplines in a high-tech industry (F1 SECU experience advantageous but not essential)
Communicative and collaborative skills to deliver effective cross departmental integration and results.
High attention to detail and the ability to work independently under a limited supervision to tight deadlines.
A can-do attitude, proven ability to lead a team to ensure right first time & reliability.
