"Congratulations, Doriane Pin! You are the 2025 F1 ACADEMY Champion!"

Doriane has done it! After a thrilling 13-lap battle, she crossed the finish line at the F1 ACADEMY season finale in Las Vegas to become the series’ third champion. She follows in the footsteps of Marta García and Abbi Pulling, who claimed the titles in the first two F1 ACADEMY seasons. George Russell, Kimi Antonelli and Toto Wolff were among the first to congratulate her in parc fermé after the race.

Starting the final race of the year from fourth on the grid, one place ahead of her title rival Maya Weug, the Mercedes Junior Driver had her fate in her own hands. The situation in the championship fight was clear before lights out: Weug needed to win the race, set the fastest lap and hope that Doriane finished no higher than seventh.

After an early safety car deployment, Doriane overtook Alba Larsen midway through the race to move up to third place. Weug responded shortly afterwards, passing Doriane three laps from the end. What followed was an intense three-way fight for second place between Alisha Palmowski, Weug and Doriane.

In the end, Doriane took the chequered flag in fifth, just behind Larsen – more than enough to seal the title. Chloe Chambers won the race ahead of Palmowski and Weug.

By finishing in the points once again in her final F1 ACADEMY appearance, Doriane extended her remarkable streak of scoring in every single race of her F1 ACADEMY career.

Doriane made her debut in F1 ACADEMY last year, scoring her first victory in the series in her very first race in Jeddah.

In 2024, she recorded a total of three wins, five pole positions and eight podium finishes, securing second place overall in her rookie season.

She entered the 2025 campaign with a clear goal: to win the title. Her first victory of the year came at the season opener in Shanghai, where she moved into the lead of the championship for the first time.

This set up an exciting battle between Doriane and Maya Weug. The Ferrari driver briefly took over at the top of the drivers’ standings, before Doriane reclaimed the lead with a win in Canada – a position she held all the way to the final chequered flag in Las Vegas.

After claiming her fourth victory of the season in the first race on the Las Vegas Strip Circuit, the 21-year-old Frenchwoman went into the season finale with a 20-point advantage, following the retirement of her title rival.

With a total of four wins and eight podium finishes, Doriane recorded the most victories this season, ending the year as champion on 172 points with a margin of 15 points over Maya Weug.

Doriane Pin, 2025 F1 ACADEMY Champion:

"It’s incredible to be crowned the F1 Academy champion. It feels so good to achieve this and sign off my time in the series in style. I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped make this happen and those who have been part of my journey since the start of my career. Ever since I joined the Mercedes Junior Driver Programme and Prema, it has been a brilliant experience. I have learned so much and grown as a driver and we are now all champions today!"
