We’ll be bringing you all the latest news from Lauda Drive and Morgan Drive, behind-the-scenes content and interviews with some familiar faces, drawing fans closer to the team than ever before.
In the first instalment of our new show, presented by Nu, we hear from the youngest ever driver to lead the World Championship, Kimi, alongside Deputy Team Principal Bradley Lord, hosted by presenter Steph Wentworth and featuring a very special guest.
As we dive in, here are five key things to watch out for…
‘Gotcha’ - Kimi Pranks
Ever the joker, Kimi’s famous in the team for his pranks – whether it’s cake in the face or wheel-spinning in the garage, he knows how to be mischievous.
But he doesn’t have it all his own way…
Kimi regales how, during Bahrain testing earlier this year, Bono and the team replaced his drink with Tabasco hot sauce and chased him with a water gun – much to his dismay!
And when Kimi decided to leave tyre marks in the garage during a filming day, making the mechanics clean it up, they returned the favour and stuffed his clothes full of the dirty rags. Will he learn? Watch this space!
‘The Most Special’ – Looking Back to Kimi’s First F1 Test
Cast your minds back two years, what were you doing? For Kimi, exactly two years ago – to the day – he was driving an F1 car for the first time.
He recalls that special day in Austria and how it’s helped shape his future.
“I remember walking in [to the garage] and saying ‘wow, this is incredible’, and it was all for me. I was very buzzed, I was very excited.”
And while the weather went from sunshine to rain over night, it didn’t dampen Kimi’s spirits.
“I remember waking up, opening the curtains and saying ‘I can’t believe it, it must be a bad dream. What a day to do my first F1 test.’ But I still went out, did a few laps and it was incredible.”
The rest, as they say, is history!
Kimi Wore What To Bed?!
After Kimi’s second F1 test, which took place at Imola, the 19-year-old talks about how at the end of the test he slept with the fireproof clothing he’d been wearing from the day!
Was he too warm? No. Did Mama Kimi get annoyed because he was still dirty? Yes!
New Wave of Italian Sports Talent
Kimi isn’t the only Italian star on the rise in sports at the moment – the likes of tennis world number one Jannik Sinner and MotoGP Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi have all enjoyed great success and their friendship is something our driver is enjoying.
He discusses their relationships, the motivation they give him and seeing his country deliver such sporting talent.
Kimi as a Pupazzo
The next section of the show takes a look at gifts and trinkets fans have sent in and for Kimi, he was quite happy with his mini version of himself as a pupazzo (Italian for puppet) – very happy and muscly! Maybe a good luck charm for the future?
‘One of the Best Days of My life’ – Doriane’s Dream
From discussing one first F1 test to another, the trio were joined by a very special guest –Development Driver and reigning F1 ACADEMY Champion Doriane Pin, who went straight from driving W12 at Silverstone to the studio to record the show.
Doriane describes what her first test in an F1 car was like. “It was an amazing day to be honest and one of the best days of my life. Driving an F1 car is something not very common and I think I’m very lucky to have the opportunity.”
